Use the categories as a starting point

A distributor comparing models for private buyers may prioritize compact dimensions and easy storage. A project buyer considering repeated passenger trips may need more detail about boarding, seating, operating time and maintenance. Write down the intended use before choosing from either collection.

Check the actual seating and boarding arrangement

Request photographs from the side, front and rear, plus a clear view of the seating area. Ask for the confirmed passenger capacity and dimensions of the exact configuration. The apparent width of a bench in a photograph does not tell you how many people the vehicle is intended to carry.

Consider the step height, foot space, handholds, entry opening and space for belongings. If the project has specific access needs, state them clearly and evaluate a sample. A three-wheel layout alone is not evidence that a vehicle is suitable for every rider or passenger.

• Who will drive and who will travel as a passenger?
• How frequently will people get on and off?
• Will riders carry shopping, bags or work equipment?
• What information is available about the specified seating and restraint equipment?

Compare the questions, not just the appearance

Either collection can include different configurations. The comparison becomes useful when each supplier answers the same questions for a named model and version.

HN-X3 is described in our leisure range as a compact leisure tricycle. Compare its actual dimensions and seating arrangement with the daily journey you are trying to serve. Ask for current images and the final specification rather than relying on the category label.

QS042 is a leisure model with a curved canopy profile and front windshield. If weather coverage matters, ask exactly which areas are covered and which components are included. A canopy photograph does not establish protection in all weather conditions.

Make running and support requirements explicit

For every shortlisted model, request the proposed battery and charger, charging time and range conditions. State the daily distance, loading and terrain. Also ask how replacement components are identified: model code, version, part number and photographs help keep a parts request precise.

For a dealer order, discuss the instructions and product information that will be supplied to customers. For a fleet or project, define the inspection and handover process. Ask about spare-parts availability, warranty terms and who will handle service enquiries in your market.
